Leslie’s Life being colored, shaped and molded

Fun Night At Home

So Joel was on the war path tonight. Normally I can talk to him and calm him down, but tonight, he was just PICKING a fight. Thankfully no one bit, but when he threatened to snap Erin’s neck, mom did what the therapist told her to do and so we had the police here. They didn’t arrest him because he didn’t do anything tonight. Got to love our system, you actually have to do something before you can be arrested ;) They did say that you are allowed to discipline your children until they are 18 and they aren’t allowed to do anything back. I guess the difference is the line between discipline and abuse, right?

It’s Hot

And my mother keeps complaining about how cold it is in here so Dad turns the air off. Man, do they forget that not only am I visiting from 7K feet but that I am hot ALL the time anyway??? Mom had the GB surgery and is cold all the time. Man ::panting:: I wish the pool was working so I could go jump in it!!

The Niece

I had to laugh. My Mom told me that G LOVES Rella (that is what she calls Cinderella) and I thought it was the typical toddler liking something. Oh My Goodness. We got to see her watching the video of the Disney parade… and she was jumping up and down and screaming about her RELLA. It is just too cute. I wish I had brought the camera over… or better yet, I had brought our video camera with us… it was too cute!! She is getting so big.

Have I mentioned how beautiful it has been down here??? Nice and Warm!!

Company Picnic

So yesterday was the company picnic for dad’s work. He took us all. It was fun for the kids. On the way home we stopped at the high school for a health fair. I got a free t-shirt, which is a good thing since I forgot some of my clothes. Didn’t do much else except hang out here at the house.

Today is another story. Apparently when My mom was gone, the youngest brother started a reformat on their computer. The best I can figure is he didn’t let it finish, cuz the computer kept popping up Porn whenever they were on the internet, they couldn’t access their email, after dad had spent over an hour on the phone with the ISP. I got it all working, it isn’t all slow anymore and I was able to log in and get their email downloaded. Yay me!

We finished cleaning up the house and the sister finished laundry. She is so much better than me… she actually IRONs clothes. I am lucky to get the laundry done half the time. (ask the dh)

Hopefully this time of solitude will be good for him while we are gone. Dinner for tonight got cancelled. Not sure what is up with the sisters boyfriend… I think he is scared to meet me ;) (they are good at telling people scary stories about me!!) Joel says that he has taken my title now though… instead of telling people they are acting like Leslie, they now tell them they are acting like Joel (apparently he and I are A LOT alike) but there is definitely A LOT of hormones running around this house. Just glad I wasn’t here on Tuesday!!!

The Smell Of Orange Blossoms

We are here. I swear I made it in record time, although I am completely shocked since my van decided it didn’t want to cooperate once we crossed the Arizona state line. (literally). We stopped at the rest stop for K and when I started the van, I had to start it twice… apparently the first time it shorted or something, cuz it zero’d my trip meter for the milage… and all of a sudden it kept acting like it wasn’t getting gas. I called my dad and he is pretty sure it is the O2 sensor, but we will take it to Auto Zone and get it read just to make sure ;) The O2 sensor has been misbehaving for awhile now… and apparently when we go over a pass, it makes it act up again. When I got the new battery, the check engine light went off, after being on for a year (yah, I knew what the problem was) and when I went over Raton Pass it came back on. Dad even knew what was causing it… but then things went crazy later… so we are just going to change it out.

I finally pulled in about 11:35 and got out of the van to the wonderful smell of Orange Blossoms. Oh, I do miss that smell. I was hoping to take oranges home from this trip… but I might be a little early for fresh ones :)

I’m going to bed. Have a great night.

Happy Spring

So, it’s the first day of Spring and we have a snow day!! Got to love it!! I was laughing this morning at the radio, because instead of listing off what school districts were closed, they just said ‘All of the school districts in Colorado Springs are closed’. That doesn’t ever happen!!

I am off visiting some blogs… and man, one of my friends sure posted EXACTLY how I have been feeling for over a week now. And then to make matters worse, K says to me tonight how beautiful I am and all I wanted to know was what her alterior motive is. I sure hope this is all just a hormone thing and that I get over it before we leave for Phoenix.

I think Ken will enjoy being alone next week. He likes that kind of solitude stuff… I just don’t get it, but if it makes him happy, I won’t stress about him being alone.

And I know I haven’t been real good over the weekend about posting my daily positives, but I am REALLY having a hard time coming up with them… especially with the way I am feeling about myself!!

Last Day Of Winter

So today is the last day of winter… and apparently it wants to go out with a bang. I was just watching the weather… we are getting more snow later tonight. They were saying most of town hadn’t seen any snow yet… well we have about 3 inches at our house, so I guess we are better lumped in with Monument!! If that is the case they are saying 8-12+ inches. I don’t have to go anywhere tomorrow… works for me!!

I am going to go veg and watch 10 Things I Hate About You!

Thunder Snowing…

It is so weird to have thunder and lightening when it is snowing outside. It snowed for about 15 minutes and then the sun came out and the sky was blue… that lasted for about a half hour…. now it looks like it is ready to snow again. Got to love Spring in the Rockies. (last night, when I expected snow, it rained… just love the changes!!)

Hello, I am Leslie, and I am a Pampered Chef Addict

Since last thursday, I have been invited to 5 shows (counting one of them that is a catalog show, but since it was booked off of me… I got the hostess special). I didn’t go last Thursday since K was sick and I didn’t go on Tuesday since I was sick. I did however put in my order for the catalog show on Monday. Tonight I went to a show for a neighbor and Saturday I am going to a show at my consultants house. Yay. I need to have another show, just so I can get my other pans… but I haven’t booked a show, which I am sure will make the husband happy.

I did however start thinking about what I WANT for my kitchen. We have this horrible desk area that is just basically wasted space… so when we get the plans for the kitchen, I want it ALL to be Pantry. Ken keeps telling me that I can’t buy more stuff for the kitchen, cuz I don’t have any place to store it… Well guess what… I will just fix that problem then!! :)

Oh, and if anyone wants to order anything… my SIL needs $50 more for the next level (or to get what she is working for… so email me and I will send you an invite!)
