Crayons, Playdoh & Wax

Well, most of it anyway. Today we went to the Olympic Training Center. It is really cool. I so can’t believe that I have lived here for 16 years and the first time I have gone there was 2 weeks ago when we took Joel.

I even grabbed the other 2 nieces that were here and all 6 of us went today. (Haley hadn’t been there either… but still not as bad… she is only 12) I got the cutest pictures… which I am going to have to get off my sisters camera… cuz Stupid me… forgot to charge the batteries. That is almost as bad as last time when I forgot the camera all together!!! I had each of the girls in one of the Olympic rings out front… It is really cute!! (in these rings):

Tomorrow we are off to Garden Of The Gods… Will make for a nice afternoon!

Ken seems to be taking it in stride We picked up the girls from the airport yesterday. The lines in security were really long, but we breezed though and got to the gate just as they came off the plane… and the best part, I was in and out within an hour, so only had to pay 1 hour in parking!!!

I missed Kerry’s baby shower though… but got to go by after and see her and the baby and Kelly. I wish I had taken my camera… having all my nieces together… from both sides of the family. This is the middle bunch… but we have one every year from 12 down to K at 8. We refer to our girls as evens or odds… cuz Haley, Dani & K are each 2 years appart… this year they are all even… so I was saying that my odds are here now too.

Anyway… if I am not around much this week… that is probably why. Off entertaining kids.

And people wonder why I don’t want to move (out of Colorado that is… yes, I am moving to a new house… eventually)

I just need to take some meds and go take a nap… but the nieces will be here Saturday and the dh gets home tomorrow. I have moving boxes everywhere… and need to be on the phone dealing with some business stuff. Yup, sounds like I am getting a nap this afternoon, huh?

Maybe a short one. I will talk with the dd, see what she wants to do.

There was a song a few years ago… and I can’t remember the name. A friend told me about it… and I thought one of us posted it in our blog… but no such luck (or at least I didn’t find it). It was about all the questions you were going to ask God about when you get to heaven… or why do things happen… Anyone have a clue the name or artist? I keep scanning through iTunes… I figure I will recognize it when I see it…

I have been listing a bunch of CD’s on Ebay if anyone is interested. Not always is it a cd, sometimes it is other things… just keep checking back

The dd had a HUGE melt down this afternoon. Dh had called when his conference was over for the day to tell me that his phone was dead… he was leaving it in the room to charge while he went to get dinner. When I told her he would call back after he ate, she started crying, uncontrollably… and didn’t stop for over a half hour. I did try calling his phone to see if he left his room yet, but he did. She walked around carrying my cell phone and crying… saying she wanted him to come home TODAY!!

This is his 3rd week long conference this summer. She did better last summer when we were gone for a month than she is with him being the one leaving… and for that matter, so did I. I don’t know what the difference is… except that we were the ones going and doing… and she had her cousins to keep her company. (and they won’t be here until Saturday)

I am sure A LOT of what is going on with her is the fact that last night, I went downstairs at about 12:30 and she was still awake… I had sent her to bed about 9:45 (I started trying about 9:20). Tonight, I will go down and hold her down until she is asleep!!!

I am home with K All Day Every Day. Ken goes to work, comes home… and K can’t wait to see him. Ken goes on trips for work… and comes home and K is so excited to see him.

When do I get some time to go away and have time alone and NOT be MOM??? You know that no matter how much you love your children, you still need some adult time and time where you are not Mom and Not worrying about every little thing they are doing every little moment!!!
