Thirteen Things about Leslie I was going to write about all the things I was going to miss about not having my computer for the rest of the week, but then my dh fixed it so that I have internet access at my desk at home, and I do know I will have it at my Moms… So, this is 13 things I have to do today before I leave (or in most cases help the dh move). 1. Finish packing (flight is tonight, but we have to leave strait from dd’s parent orientation at school, which is at 5) 2. empty the dresser downstairs 3. move the dresser upstairs 4. Move the futon upstairs 5. Empty drawers on our bed 6.. Take apart our bed & move it upstairs 7. Empty the old set of water bed drawers & list contents on freecycle 8. Move the old set of waterbed drawers upstairs 9. Wash our bed linens 10. Finish packing my desk 11. empty my clothes out of the dresser in the guest room 12. Clear off the top of the dresser in guest room (move the TV, playstation and the dd’s stuff to the new house) 13. Be at DIA by 7:20 (I really am insane, going out of town the weekend we are moving… but this anniversary party has been planned for over a year… how often does someone get to 40 these days???) Well with the move coming up this week. I am going to be tearing down the whole desk… actually Ken wants to move the server… and since just about ALL of my files are on that harddrive, I am going to take this time to reformate my computer since it is giving me so much trouble. Sooo I will put up my Thursday 13 tonight, just so that is taken care of… and then when I get to Phoenix on Thursday I can update again!!! (I already know what I want for my 13) I will see if I can save it to show up tomorrow night!

Anyway, when I come back home, it will be at the new house!!! YAY!!

I know this might sound silly to some, but I just feel so bad. Today my mom was out running errands. I don’t know if the dog was with her or if she jumped in when they got home. Anyway, Mom thought she had gotten out of the car. About 2 hours later, she was putting the baby in the car (my niece) and she found Chloe. She ran her in the house and got her some water and then took her to the vet. They iced her down and used Alcohol and IV’s to help lower her temp. It was 108. They have done all kinds of tests, and still don’t know if her heart will give our or not.

All I keep thinking is, if it does this much damage to a dog, what in the world will it do to a baby (and what parent would intentionally leave their child in the car). My mom was in tears telling me about it and was on her way to the Vet to get her (so she is getting to come home). Mom said even with all that was going on, she was trying to get to Mom when she found her.

Oh, did I mention… they live in PHOENIX. She is a really good dog and Mom just adores her. They got her 3 years ago for Mom’s birthday, which is next week.

I have come to the conclusion that I am so glad I won’t be home next weekend. Granted, I have almost the whole kitchen moved and unpacked. Just from that bit I did today I can barely move!!!

Ok, I got up a few of the pictures of the house. I am just too tired tonight to sit and edit all of them and put them up… and… I still haven’t upgraded my flickr account and was lazy when I uploaded some before and used up too much space… so I am out of room til the 1st. We did however start moving stuff over tonight. The cool part about this is getting all the shelf paper in BEFORE I put anything on them. Granted, I ran out and had to go buy more… but it gave me a break! More pictures in flickr ->

So they decided to do a Round Robin with Beauty Supply stuff on the Freecycle list. I was #6 on the list… so I figured I would have the box about 2 weeks ago. Well as most Round Robin stuff goes, the box got held up along the way. I emailed the gal heading it up and she was actually picking up the box to get it moving again. Since we are moving next week, she went ahead and let me get the box from her… which is actually a better deal for the gal that was suppose to be in front of me. I only ended up taking 3 things out of the box. One of the items, I got for K… and there is actually 2 of the same thing in the box, but I didn’t want to be rude, so I left one for someone else to try. I told her if she likes it… I will buy her more. It was a detangler… the Pantene for Blondes stuff. There was also a bottle of stuff for a red head… I took that one for me.

I added so much stuff to the box, I think I am going to get a bigger box out of the garage and swap it out. I cleaned out the bathroom and the hall closet tonight. I tried not to put a bunch of junk in there. I did however put A LOT of lotion samples in there… I am one of those that people like to give lotion to as a gift… and I rarely use it… or at least not the scented frufruy stuff. And LOTS of Avon samples. The Avon ladies always give me soaps or body washes in a scent I can’t do. I even added some necklaces. I have a Bunch that won’t fit my neck anymore. I so hate my goiter… I really wish that one day I can get a doctor to agree to take it OUT!! There is contact lense solution, tooth paste samples, even a curling iron. I figure this is a great way for the gals who follow me to get to try something they wanted to try and see if they like it!

This weekend, I will get K’s room completely packed… And MOM will label which stuff goes into her bedroom and which stuff goes downstairs!! Slowly but surely I am getting there. It is so hard to do this with 13 years of stuff. Matter of fact… I found some stuff tonight that I know I never bought… so that means it is OVER 13 years old!! Most of that kind of stuff (bathroom) went strait into the trash. I think the trash can this week will be FULL!!

Thirteen Things about OUR NEW HOUSE 1. 4 Bedroom (which gives us a guest room and Ken an office) 2. 3 Bathrooms 3. Livingroom/dinning room (but we won’t be using the dinning room part since dh had us get rid of our glass table) 4. Family Room, which has a GAS fireplace 5. Rec Room (which will be my office and house all of K’s toys) 6. Nice yard, landscaped (and I can still plant roses!) 7. Sprinklers (no more dragging the hose around the yard!!) 8. Air Conditioning (So much better for my asthma) 9. Bigger Kitchen, More cabinets, but a smaller pantry… it will work out 10. Lots of storage (and shelves are already built) 11. Smooth surface stove with microwave above it 12. Wonderful Landlord 13. And the biggest seller for me… A Jacuzzi Bath tub in the 3rd bathroom!! Hey, if I can’t have a hot tub, next best thing!!! (and we have a HUGE water heater too!!) (and the bonus, dd doesn’t have to change schools!!) Links to other Thursday Thirteens!
