Crayons, Playdoh & Wax

It is not a good thing that I an asleep since 10:30 last night and I get woke up because my hands are hurting so bad I have to put band -aids on my hands and I actually need to use the neosporin PLUS pain, that and I had 2 new spots that werent there when I went to sleep. Ken has a doctor appointment today, and I an normally really good about keeping things down to just what we are there for, but Ken thinks he has some questionable spots, so whether or not I am contagious is coming up! Maybe now she will realize its not exzema. I an trying to get into a dermatologist but the soonest is October and one of those is with a doctor that I an already an existing patient!

So last night I decide that I will just skip the service. Ken still isnt comfortable driving yet, so I wont make them be there for 2 services. Wrong. Either it was my meds or my guess, God, decided that I need to here the sermon, cuz after going to sleep after 2, I woke up before 8 WITHOUT THE ALARM. Yes, people who know me for any length of time know how weird it is for of to wake up on time even with an alarm, let alone before the alarm. Now the trick … to wake the dh! I figure if he doesnt want to drive home, he can take a book, go to Life Group training with me, or sit in the service twice

So last night was our first Karate class. I found out that I can’t do a crab walk. That is just really sad. But when we were doing the exercise they call moping the floor (it contains 4 different parts, including the crab walk) I could do the other 3 things… and I actually beat Ken and K on the last one… so that is good. It is going to be a good work out that is for sure.

Ken still refuses to drive even though I thought he could use his left foot. He took the dog and dd and they walked to the new grocery store. That is good they did that, but now he has the HUGE blister on his heal. I am counting down until Monday!! Well, I am off to the dentist. More later!

Oh, and I have a Pampered Chef show closing tomorrow if anyone is interested in our cutlery… it is 20% off!!

The cool advantage to having a teacher who lover the space program is we get cool info. Tonight the space station and the shuttle passed over Colorado, so he sent home a note for us with time and stuff. So tonight K and I stood on the deck and watch them fly over. Actually, we saw something else first, and K is convinced it was the fueling station, but that is what I thought the space station was. There was definitely 3 different items flying through the sky tonight. (I asked Mr. G about it and he said it was most likely a satellite since there are a few in that same orbit)

K  has informed me that my entries from my phone look horrible and the spelling is worse. I will work on the spelling, I just need to figure out how to do the paragraph breaks. So I am sorry it looks bad!!

Last night the dd had her party. A good time was had by all. She had 4 girls come and 3 spent the night. I was up way part my meds wearing off. Then they tried to get up at 5 30. I put my foot down on that one and made them all in back to bed. I enjoyed the movie, but I like the characters. I know that some people were disappointed, but I think the dd will be getting the sound tract. I did have to laugh, during one scene Zach’s underwear was showing and they all had to laugh and giggle. They also spotted Miley Cyrus in the last song. I didnt believe them so once we got the movie tivo’d they had to pause it and show me. Turned out that it was one of the viewers choice segments. (we didnt find that out til tonight when they were showing all the different things the viewers got to vote on.

Today I had a Pampered Chef party. It was a small turn out, but I have some outside orders, so it is turning into a decent show. Anyone need anything??? I can do computer orders!!!

Tonight Ken needed to go to the computer store… he was looking for a new usb hub. While we were there, I decided to go look at sound cards. They had one for $20. I talked him into buying it for me. I was so excited. Do you know how hard it is having a computer that doesn’t play sound??? Anyway, when we got home, I tore open the computer and started pulling things apart… then pulled out the instructions… yah, I actually read them. I had to uninstall the old one… so I plugged in the monitor, the mouse and the power, uninstalled the old driver and then proceeded to change out the sound card all by myself. I was very proud of myself… cuz not only did I have to figure this out, I had to put the card in a completely different slot than the previous one… and when I rebooted… I HAVE SOUND!!! WHOO HOOO!!!

(I was posting this post on my phone last night… and for some reason, it just stopped letting me post. Today was a busy day, and I didn’t get the chance until tonight to come down and fix it.)

Well, it is going to be interesting to see how this works. Tonight we went to an orientation for Karate lessons for K, and the WHOLE family signed up! I think it is going to be really good for us to do not only exercise together, but the respect that we not only have to give each other, but others. The fun part is going to be that K has to say ‘Yes Mame’ ‘No Mame’ ‘Yes sir’ ‘No sir’ for everything all the time, not just at class. I was actually able to do the punches and stuff, the only problem I had was having to be on my knees to put on my belt… which, we all earned our white belt tonight!! Yes, pictures to come. We got our uniforms and tshirts. I have until October to figure out if I can do this. I need to get a note from the doctor saying it is ok to do this, and I said I would bring in the list of my diagnoses and meds. I will most likely be posting this at Better Me, but right now I have to get it fixed. I tried to post earlier this week and the only thing that showed up was the title.

Today I talked to the school counselor and told her about the discussion that we had about K yesterday. She agreed with me and said she is glad we are leaving K where she is. She was glad I came to talk to her. When I told her about how I felt like part of K’s problem is that I wasn’t there teaching her stuff. Of course she told me not to blame myself. I finally told her they think I have narcolepsy. I think she was shocked actually.

Well, It was an interesting meeting. I dont think I agree with everything she is suggesting we do, but I am willing to pray about it. Ken was in a really bad mood after but he said that it wasn’t what we talked about but he sure got nasty with me. I went over to Belinda’s to help her with her computer and Jeani taught me how to use t9. This really is easier when I am posting from my phone! Now to figure out how to do a paragraph break. I am going to see K’s psych for me. She is pretty sure she knows what is wrong with me and since she is on the board for sleep disorders, she almost seemed excited. She said that with how drastically I have responded to my new medication, that she thinks I have narcolepsy. I almost laughed because of how they exagerate on tv. I did call my mom and told her to in to the doctor. She didnt want to believe me until I started reading her the description, and she has more them one symptom. Guess I will see what they say.

I so can’t believe K starts 4th grade tomorrow. 4th grade was such a big deal in my life. I don’t remember a whole lot about my childhood, but I remember so much about 4th grade. It very well might be a coincidence, but I remdmber it with fondmess. That was the year I finally got into the Catholic school, and I’m not Catholic. I had my first boyfriend, and at the end of the year we moved cross-country. ok I have to do the rest of this tomorrow when I’m not on the phone!

So last night we finally got to the school (K and I waited for 45 minutes in the parking lot at Ken’s work waiting for him), and we get to the gym. Sure enough, K got the teacher that we were hoping for. Not sure why she wanted him, but I wanted him cuz he is a male… and I think she will do better with a male teacher. We were so excited… and we get to her classroom, to be greeted by the PE teacher. It turned out that her teacher couldn’t be at the back to school night… because he had been INVITED to the Space Shuttle launch. Is that cool or what?? I have a feeling she will be learning a LOT about space this year He was even seated down with the families. I have no idea if he was a finalist for the teachers thing or what, but it is really cool that not only is it her teacher, but even that it was a teacher from our school, let alone our district!!!

So, we all get to meet him on Monday when she starts school!!
